Tips for Packing and Moving Cups and Glassware

Dish-pack boxes are especially designed boxes for packing and moving of such items. You need to put generous amount of padding supplies or cushioning materials in the bottom of the carton and between the layers to provide protection to your items.

You need to wrap each piece of glassware or chinaware in several sheets of blank newsprint papers or bubble wraps before you put in the carton. Begin wrapping items from the corner of the wrapping sheet, tucking the edges as you roll. You may secure the wrapping with packing tape. Place wrapped items in the carton with rims down. Remember to place heavier items first and later items later.

Wrap plates individually using blank newsprint paper or bubble wrap. Begin wrapping from the corner, wrapping diagonally, continuously tuck in the overlapping edges. Secure the wrapping with packing tape. Bundle four to six plates in a double layer of blank newsprint paper or bubble wrap. Place bundles in a row standing them on edge not flat. There are chances of damages if you place plats flat in the box. Surround every bundle with lightly crushed newspapers. Make sure there is no empty space inside the carton. Fill empty space with wadded papers.

While packing these items take your time and do not be in hurry. You will need utmost care and attention in the process so that you can pack them all correctly like professional movers and packers companies do. Finally, seal the box with good quality packing tape.
